Who is responsible

Controller under Art. 4(7) GDPR: Graham Miranda UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Hasselfelder Str. 23, 38889 Blankenburg (Harz), Germany — [email protected]. There is no data protection officer, because the statutory threshold for one is not met.

Legal bases

The app processes nothing that would need a legal basis. For this website the only processing is the technical delivery of the pages, which rests on our legitimate interest in operating a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No consent is asked because nothing here needs one.

Supervisory authority

You may complain to the authority responsible for us: Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz Sachsen-Anhalt, Leipziger Straße 9, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. You may also complain in the EU country where you live or work.

What the app does with data

Nothing leaves the device. Klappe contains no networking code: it does not call a server, it does not open a socket, and it has no third-party SDKs.

• No account. Klappe does not ask for a name, an email address, or any other personal detail.
• Camera and microphone. Access is requested only when a recording starts. The picture and the sound are used on the device to build the film, or to write narration down as captions. They are never sent anywhere.
• Photos. Klappe uses Apple's system photo picker and can read only the photos you select. A selected photo is referenced by its local identifier, not copied. Finished films and photos are written to your library only when you tap Save.
• Speech. Narration is transcribed on the device by Apple's speech framework. The audio is not uploaded.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking. There is no measurement of any kind, and nothing to opt out of.

Retention and deletion

Projects and recordings stay in Klappe's storage on the device until they are deleted. The grown-up settings can delete every video at once, and deleting the app removes everything it stored. Media saved to Photos is yours, in the Photos app, outside Klappe's reach. We never receive or keep any of it.

Children's privacy

Klappe is made for children. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Settings, deletion and the links to this site sit behind a grown-up gate; the only other way out of the app is the system Settings deep link.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party: its fonts, styles, scripts and images all come from this domain. There is nothing here to consent to.

Our host keeps standard technical logs for security and to keep the site running. FILL: hosting provider, log contents, retention period

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Because the app collects nothing, in practice there is usually nothing to return. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within the statutory period. You may also complain to a supervisory authority.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that affects what the app does will be described in the release notes as well.
